Our Final Project was to develop a website that provided information on the current Pennsylvania State Budget Proposal regarding education. As many people know, the state may see cut-backs in the funding for education. This is news that will catch the attention of people in the Shippensburg University community and the state at large. For some, they may be confused and have several questions about the budget. We looked to create a website that was non-bias and provided the facts and information that can be used to help them better understand what is going on. We recognize that this issue does bring out political views from both sides of the aisle. We did our best to provide information that did not favor one side over the other. We provide links to this past years budet, this years proposed budget and summaries of both. We also looked to provide information on how the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and Shippensburg have responded to the news, as well as provide them with contact information of their local politicians if they are still unsure of any of the information in the budget and if they had any questions or concerns.
